Lambeth Apprenticeship Conference

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, Chuka today hosted Lambeth College and Lambeth Council in parliament, for their Apprenticeship Ambitions Conference, aimed at raising the profile, prestige and understanding of apprenticeships in Lambeth.

The audience included students from local Schools and employers, hearing directly from current and past apprentices sharing their own experiences.

Speaking of the event, Chuka said: “It has been a pleasure to welcome everyone to parliament this afternoon for this celebration of apprenticeships and what they can offer. I believe that apprenticeships are extremely well placed to offer the relevant and in demand skills and experience to help Lambeth’s young people get ahead, and I’m so pleased to see them being promoted today as a genuine and worthwhile alternative to university.”
