Bishop Thomas Grant School

Chuka visited Bishop Thomas Grant School to speak with sixth formers about politics and current issues. Sixth form politics and history students put their questions to Chuka about lowering the voting age to 16, Brexit and the labour party.

Chuka said: “It’s been a great pleasure returning to Bishop Thomas Grant to chat to sixth formers at this eventful time in UK and world politics. Speaking to the young people at BTG and seeing their engagement with current issues, particularly how the fallout from Brexit will affect their futures, reinforces to me what a travesty it is that they were not allowed to vote in the EU referendum, and that young people their age aren’t allowed to vote in UK elections.”
