Chuka met with the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall at the Black Cultural Archives to show them around the upcoming exhibition on the role of African-Caribbean personnel in the Royal Air Force.

The exhibition named Pilots of the Caribbean highlights the RAF’s success in embracing integration, and how Britain was and continues to be protected by black service men and women. Chuka greeted the Prince and Duchess with veterans from the West Indian Association of Service Personnel showing them memorabilia focusing on the African contribution to World War 1 and World War 2.

Chuka was able to discuss the Black Cultural Archives with Prince Charles, talking about the role of positive community areas in Brixton and how the Black Cultural Archives is able to inspire the African-Caribbean community.
