Chuka visited Dunraven School in Streatham to speak with sixth form and younger students about politics and current issues. Many of the questions focused on the turbulence and fallout from the EU referendum and the divisiveness of the campaign.
Students were also keen to hear Chuka’s views on votes at 16 years, having not been given the opportunity to their say in this pivotal national decision.
Speaking of the visit, Chuka said: “It is such a pleasure to return to Dunraven to talk with students at this testing moment in our nation’s history. I’m always impressed by the thought and engagement shown by Dunraven’s students, which just reinforces what an absolute shame it was that they were not allowed to vote in the referendum.”
