Thames Water Crisis

Chuka visited the Thames Water bottled water supply sites during the water crisis, and questioned government about compensation for residents and about holding an inquiry into Thames Water's handling of the water network in Streatham.

Chuka visited Henry Cavendish School to talk to the headteacher about how the water shortage had affected them, which included having to close their doors for several days meaning parents had to take days off work unpaid to look after their children.

In the Commons, Chuka asked the government about forcing Thames Water to offer bigger compensation payments than their policy minimum, and welcomed the government's acceptance of his call for an inquiry into the matter.

Chuka will continue to monitor the government's inquiry and Thames Water, and keep residents informed of events as they progress.
